1st Annual Day Celebration of Shining Stars
On the 25th January 2019, we celebrated the 1st annual day celebration of Shining Stars Women Empowerment Project. The chief guest of the event was Mr.Deepak Naik Sarpanch of Aldona, Ms. Priyanka Pinto, Member of Panjath, from the office we had Miss. Grace Mishar and Mr. Vianney Michael, Operations Manager – The Green Lion India, and Mr. Mandeep J, Center Manager – Udaipur. In addition, we had ourย road trip coordinators and the coordinator from Goa, participants from the center and Shining Stars members and their families, neighbors, kids from The Green Lion kindergarten attending the event.
More or less 80 to 100 people were in that program it was well organized and decorated. It was an exciting day for our Shining Stars (women Empowerment project members) to perform and show their talents on stage. Their colorful performances included dancing, singing and speech. The highlight of the event was the women themselves had made snacks for all the guests and ourย participants were there to help them to prepare and serve food. And the kids from our Migrant Outreach School created the banner for the program. At the end of the event, everyone enjoyed high tea together. It was a joyous occasion and a wonderful way to kick start our year.
With New Year comes new hope, new scope and innovations for the betterment of the society. The Green Lion Goa’s new year resolution is โGive a smile and take a smile from themโ. In 2019, we will have more positive changes to the community.
