This experience has changed my life. I decided to do this program in the Philippines to give back to the country and people that I love so much. Having worked with Filipino freelancers online over the past 2 years I have gotten to know and fallen in love with how friendly the people are.
It has been amazing to see how happy everyone is, no matter the circumstances. Everyone I have met has been extremely giving, even situations where they may not a lot to give.
Having spent many years previous working in construction, it has been great to use some skills of mine, plus learn a bunch of new skills. The staffs have been incredible throughout my entire time here. From the organization, skills, cooking, project management and just having chat.
On the top of all that getting to know these helpers has been my highlight. I have created some friendship that I know 100% I will have forever. Living in close proximity for several weeks together I have really gotten to know a lot about people.
Moving forward from this I want to take a big step back from work and focus my time and energy on travelling as much as possible and dedicating time to keep in contact with good friends. I eagerly await the rest of 2019 and will definitely be assisting again in not too distant future.
